The Medina Kennel Club was founded in 1967 as a non-profit organization
dedicated to the advancement and welfare of purebred dogs. We are a
recognized member club of the American Kennel Club.
Meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. at our
Training Center. (355 "C" Lake Road - Medina, Ohio 44256). We invite you
to attend.

The Medina Kennel Club materially and/or financially supports the following
organization or events:
* The Franklin Sylvester Library in Medina has been given a number of
magazines, books and videos pertaining to dogs, all of which are for public
use.
* The 4-H dog competition at the Medina County Fair is supported both
financially and with MKC member volunteers.
* The Medina County Animal Shelter has benefited materially and financially
from the club.
* A scholarship is provided for several Medina County residents attending
Ohio State University Veterinarian School. A scholarship is also provided
for a Medina County resident enrolled in the Vet Tech program at Cuyahoga
Community College.
*Medina Kennel Club supports the Medina County Sheriff's Department Canine
Unit.
A phone referral service is available for anyone wishing to find a specific
breed of dog from a reputable breeder. Information or help with their
present dog is also provided. Refer to the phone numbers on the contact us

The club hosts noted speakers from prominent universities such as Ohio
State University, Cornell University, the University of Pennsylvania, and
local veterinarians. The most recent information on canine research,
immunization, and dog behavior is presented.
Twice each year the Medina Kennel Club holds AKC licensed point shows.
The average entry is 2000 dogs with approximately 150 breeds represented.
The first show is held on the 3rd Saturday in July, the second is usually
held on the 2nd Friday in December.
The Medina Kennel Club has several social activities for its members.
During the year we enjoy a members' fun match, pot luck and an annual
awards dinner.
